Famous Last Words

Often as Christians we are given one task. This task may seem easy to some and impossible to others but at the end of the day its still our task. We have the task to share our faith. Some people read books, others take classes and few people just go out and do it. Some people become fearful or sometimes over zealous and hit the extremes of both sides. Where is the balance?

When looking over my life and the opportunities I have had to share my faith I cant say I have done the best job. Often blocking myself off from the world around me to be sure that I don’t have to feel what they are going through. I know we are not perfect and all need to work on things in our lives and I have but it just makes me think about what will people remember about me.

I looked up some famous last words and it made me think about this being what people remember about you and what you said at the end.

Jean Cocteau said "Since the day of my birth, my death began its walk. It is walking towards me, without hurrying."

Edgar Allan Poe said "Lord help my poor soul."

Karl Marx said as his house keeper asked him for his last words "Go on, get out! Last words are for fools who haven’t said enough!"

Francisco ("Pancho") Villa said "Don’t let it end like this. Tell them I said something."

I don’t want the things I say to have to wait till my death bed to be remembered.
