Paper Airplane

As the years go on more and more things are being created and designed to help make life easy or more interesting. We have things now that read for us, that write for us and even lawn mowers that we don't even have to be there to use. Even kids are now playing with computers and electric scooters. Don't get me wrong technology is so helpful and I wouldn't trade it for anything but what ever happened to the basics?

What happened to the days of a blank sheet of paper making some folds and trying to see who could out fly each other in a paper airplane contest? You had to make sure it was perfect and didn't have to many extra folds or it wouldn't fly the way you wanted it to. You had to make it as crisp and clean as possible. It seemed so simple but may times it wouldn't fly.

I like to compare paper airplanes to us and God. God starts off with a clean piece of paper and starts to fold and create. Sometimes we decide to take the folding into our own hands and make a crease that affects our flight path and we think its done. Does God decide to crumple up our paper and throw us away? No. He smoothes us out and refolds and shapes us to get back into a plane.

What happens when you throw your plane as hard as you can and it nose dives? Thats when you pick it up and look it over and adjust to help make it better. Much like how God examines our hearts and helps make the adjustments we need to get back into the race. Although the correction might call for some tape or weight it doesn't mean that you cant win.

Although corrections can always be made and your plane is never perfect you always have the same goal and that is to fly. God gives us this goal as he prepares us to be pushed into the flight plan that he has for us. Our goal is not to fly the farthest or the highest or to even get there the fastest but to simply stay in the air. God will guide and correct and help us when the weather might be tuff. He wont stop folding or picking us up when we fall. God is a caring God you just have to be willing to do your part.

Just some thoughts from a paper airplane.
